Blending soulful music, ecological wisdom, meditation and breathwork
California-born, Australian-based roots artist Steve Manoa, accompanied by his Swedish songstress wife Caroline, crafts a dynamic fusion of folk melodies and reggae grooves, offering an uplifting and heart opening musical experience.
Having played at festivals like Woodford Folk Festival and supported roots artists such as Nahko, Satsang and Murray Kyle, Manoa's music acts as a conduit for well-being, encouraging us to slow down and connect with the more-than-human world for clarity and focus in our lives. Manoa shares positive messages of nature reconnection, personal growth, and transformation through his music and integrates ecological wisdom into workshops and retreats.
With a PhD in Ecopsychology & Environmental Education and a background in marine & terrestrial ecology, he teaches how to implement ecological regeneration.
Caroline, originally from the South of Sweden, embodies a deep connection with traditional Scandinavian folk music. Singing in choirs from an early age, music for her has always been about community, friendship and bringing people together.
As a trained Yin Breathwork facilator, Manoa’s sound healing and yin breathwork sessions seamlessly weaves self-recorded natural soundscapes with live instrumentation, guiding listeners on a deep introspective journey and nervous system relaxation.
Manoa teaches the Native American Flute through workshops and online courses and is passionate about helping others connect to their musical expression, nature, breath and presence.
